Dietary Aide position summary

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and assure that quality dietary services are provided on a daily basis. Responsible for maintaining the dietary department in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the serving kitchen and equipment and preforms scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies. Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel as well as with other departments within the program to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the participants
  • Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed
  • Assist in preparing and serving nutritional supplements and snacks under the direction of the Dietitian or designee
  • Work in various line functions as assigned to include setting up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc
  • Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions within the kitchen area
  • Participate in and supports Quality Improvement Initiatives
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all PACE Organization (PO) procedures, results, and information about participants, families, and vendors.

Minimum qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of food preparation in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with frail or elderly population
