Position Summary:
- Provides quality clinical nutrition services by working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness. Provides medical nutrition therapy for all patients in accordance with providers orders, as well as hospital, and Clinical Nutrition Department policies.
- Performs assessments on all patients identified to be at nutrition risk per established policies and procedures.
- Provides nutrition education as identified.
- Provide support to the Food and Clinical Nutrition Department Teams.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
- Experience: Less than one year
- Education Discipline: Master of Science Degree in Foods and Nutrition or related field. Completion of Dietetic internship. Successful passing of the registration examination for dietitians (RDN).
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN).
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
