Summary

The Clinical Dietitian provides integrated nutrition care that is compatible with overall goals of care for adult and/or pediatric patients at high risk for nutrition problems in inpatient and/or outpatient areas. Primary duties include screening and prioritization of patient care, nutrition assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention and evaluating patient response to nutrition interventions. The clinical dietitian also participates in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts. The Clinical Dietitian precepts dietetic interns, as assigned.

Qualifications

• • Required

o Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential that is active and in good standing

o Nevada-licensed Dietitian

o Flexibility to orient and work at all Carson Tahoe Health locations

o Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed

• Preferred

o Board certification in specialty practice area (e.g. CNSC, CSG, CSR, CSO)

o Experience teaching and supervising dietetic interns or other students
