The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), is a service fellowship program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment.
ACC Members spend a year serving with locally-rooted organizations, helping address the digital divide and strengthen access to opportunity. Through their service, they gain hands-on experience, build in-demand skills, and explore career pathways while making a tangible impact in their communities.

Position Overview
The AmeriCorps Digital Learning Assistant supports digital access and learning in low‑income housing communities. This role ensures computer labs are welcoming, functional, and well‑maintained while helping residents build confidence with technology. The position also strengthens community engagement by recruiting and training resident volunteers, supporting digital navigation needs, and maintaining essential technology systems such as mobile lab checkout apps.
All activities will be performed under the guidance and supervision of program staff.
Key Responsibilities

The AmeriCorps Member serves in a direct service and capacity-building role. The Member may not independently manage computer lab operations, supervise staff or volunteers, perform advanced information technology administration, engage in fundraising or grant writing, or perform duties that duplicate, displace, or supplant employees or contractors.

We are currently recruiting Members to serve from December 7th, 2026 - August 13th, 2027. Members will serve full-time (approximately 40 hours per week), completing 1200 hours of service over the course of the term.
