Digital Pathology Technician

Responsibilities Operate a Zeiss brightfield whole-slide scanner Load and scan prepared glass pathology slides Review scanned images for quality, clarity, focus, and completeness Identify image defects and perform re-scans as needed Perform basic scanner calibration and troubleshooting Follow established slide-tracking, labeling, and file-naming procedures Upload digital slide images into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Maintain accurate documentation and organization of scanned files Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure image quality standards are met Support project timelines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Top 3 Hiring Priorities Attention to Detail Brightfield Scanner Experience Team-Oriented / Collaborative Mindset Required Qualifications Experience operating brightfield whole-slide scanners Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset Ability to follow established workflows and SOPs Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently after a brief training period Comfortable working onsite in Los Angeles for the duration of the project Preferred Qualifications Experience in digital pathology, pathology imaging, or slide digitization Experience reviewing pathology or histology images for quality Familiarity with image management systems or LIMS platforms Experience working with Zeiss, Leica, Hamamatsu, Aperio, or similar scanners Not Required Bachelor's Degree Histology Certification Laboratory Certification Wet Lab Experience Ideal Backgrounds Digital Pathology Technician Pathology Imaging Technician Slide Scanner Operator Histology Assistant Histology Technician Digital Imaging Specialist Laboratory Imaging Technician Research Technician with Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) experience

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
