Dimensional Analysis Technician

Job Summary:
The Dimensional Analyst Technician Senior will perform and maintain component dimensional analysis equipment and measurements. The role will provide analysis reports to engineering and test customer. The Dimensional Analyst Technician Senior will mentor and oversee team member’s technical
deliverables to ensure Roush and customer standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Measure hard points and 3D laser scan data for individual components and complete vehicles using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) arm.
• Support the supervisor and team members with report status.
• Assist and lead team and customer meetings.
• Interpret technical dimensional documents.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues related to CMM software and hardware.
• Setup and tear down of components and vehicles on dimensional surface plates.
• Perform regularly scheduled calibration checks and maintenance of CMM equipment.
• Prepare technical dimensional analysis results in various format for distribution.
• Participate in daily surface plates clean-up in preparation of upcoming projects.
Education and Experience (required):
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), Computer Aided Design (CAD) or related experience.
Education and Experience (preferred):
• Certificate in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Metrology or related.
• Associates degree in Engineering, Design, Metrology or related field.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):
• Great customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and very detail oriented.
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel).
• Strong knowledge of automotive components.
• Excellent ability to navigate and understand CATIA, Teamcenter and PolyWorks software.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):
• Strong math skills and a good understanding of geometry.
• Knowledge of other forms of 3D scanning such as ATOS systems.
• Basic knowledge of advanced measurements techniques such as motion tracking and haptics testing.
• Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
