You begin by reviewing the receiving queue and the day’s production schedule. You’ll move between the incoming dock and the finished-goods area, conducting receiving and final inspections. With a set of calipers, micrometers, and height gauges in hand, you verify critical dimensions, compare parts to engineering drawings, and capture your findings in detailed quality reports. When you spot a defect, you document the nonconformance, communicate it promptly, and collaborate with production to isolate the issue. Before the day wraps, you help prepare for internal audits and lend a hand on quality improvement efforts.
