About the Role:Los Amigos Golf Course in Downey, CA is looking for an energetic and versatile Diner Cook/Server to join our team! This dual role is perfect for someone who loves the fast-paced energy of a kitchen and the personal touch of front-of-house service. Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook diner-style menu items including breakfast, lunch, and grill staples
- Take customer orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a positive dining experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area
- Manage food prep, portioning, and presentation to consistent quality standards
- Handle cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and communicate low stock to management
- Provide friendly, efficient counter and table service to golfers and guests
Requirements:- Previous experience as a short-order cook, line cook, or diner cook preferred
- Experience in food service, waitstaff, or counter service roles a plus
- Ability to multitask between cooking and serving in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work weekends or early mornings
