We are looking for enthusiastic Dining Room & Banquet Servers during our evening and weekend shifts to provide an excellent dining experience. Great servers will create a professional and friendly environment that exceeds customers’ needs and expectations.
Job Type: Full-time or part-time
Pay: From $11.50-$21.50per hour plus tips
Responsibilities
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of serving routines.
- Thoroughly understand all menu items, features, and drinks offered by the Davenport Country Club.
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Be available throughout the shift to assist members with any questions, concerns, or requests as needed.
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as they pertain to your scheduled shift to maintain a smooth-running operation.
- Setting up the banquet/dining rooms.
- Assists supervisors in setting up special events and parties throughout the Club.
- Promotes high morale and enthusiasm among staff by providing a positive and team-oriented mentality both on and off the floor.
- Provides a high level of cooperation and communication with all departments of the club
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for restaurant patrons
- Clear tables during service. Control guest checks and secure proper payment
- Restock and stock inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Skills/Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Experience as a server in a comparable establishment (2-3 years preferred)
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the area organized, stocked and clean
- High school or equivalent education required
- Availability on nights, weekends, and major holidays. (i.e. New Years, Mother’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.)
- Ability to lift/carry server trays. (30lbs)
