    Description

    The OpportunityAs an Electrical Engineer at Diode Ventures, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Black & Veatch, you will serve as a technical specialist or lead, applying advanced engineering techniques to complex problems with minimal supervision. Your role includes providing technical guidance, supervising engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity, and developing, validating, and presenting specialist output.The TeamDiode Ventures delivers turnkey, end-to-end solutions for industrial, commercial, and technology interests, including data centers and green energy solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Director of Power & Grid StrategyPerform generation and transmission capacity analyses to support infrastructure siting strategyPrepare large load interconnection applications for submission to utilitiesMaintain engagement with utilities to obtain project status updates and drive progress toward executable energy supply agreementsAnalyze, summarize, and communicate utility requirements, study results, agreements, and regulations to the project team and leadershipSupport the project team as a technical expertProficiently use industry software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, and TARAPreferred QualificationsExperience with data center load applications and load profilesExperience with data center owner/operatorsExperience with electric utilities processes and contractsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited programMinimum of 5 years of related work experienceAbility to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsWork Environment / Physical DemandsHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.Black & Veatch is committed to equal employment opportunity.
