Direct Care Worker / Caregiver (Female) – Full-Time

Position: Full-Time Female Caregiver


We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Direct Care Worker (Caregiver) to provide one-on-one support for a female client receiving 30 hours of care per week. This position requires someone who is dependable, flexible, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Safely transfer, reposition, and assist clients who are bed-bound or have limited mobility.
  • Assist with PEG tube care and feeding while following established care plans and agency policies.
  • Transport clients safely to medical appointments, community outings, and other scheduled activities.
  • Monitor and document changes in the client's condition and report concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete required daily care notes.
  • Support clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and agency policies.
Requirements


  • Female caregiver (required for client preference).
  • Previous experience working with bed-bound clients.
  • Experience with PEG tube care.
  • Experience working with individuals with high-behavior autism.
  • Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to transport clients in the community.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification.
  • Updated TB screening.
  • Medical clearance.
  • Must obtain all required CMH certifications within 30 days of hire.
Desired Experience


  • CNA, Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or similar healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience in home care, assisted living, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or long-term care.
  • Strong communication, patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and accountability.
