Job Summary: Maintenance Technician I (Electrical Controls Technician I)

Location: Robesonia, PA, USA | Direct Hire | $29.25-$33.50/hr (Target $31.38/hr)

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
• Maintain DC systems (batteries, chargers, rectifiers, inverters) to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
• Support maintenance of control systems (PLCs, HMIs, control networks) and field devices (sensors, switches, actuators).
• Test and maintain safety systems: ESD panels, gas/flame detectors, and emergency devices for compliance.
• Perform station maintenance activities, such as regulatory inspections, environmental compliance, gas loss reporting, and site upkeep.
• Document and report abnormal conditions in line with company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with team members and guide less experienced staff or contractors when needed.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety policies; contribute to work planning and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant technical training or experience.
• Proficient technical and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication ability.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strict safety standards.
• Comfortable with standard office software.
• Commitment to teamwork, integrity, and open communication.

Preferred Skills

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong drive to learn and advance as an Electrical Controls Technician.
• Familiarity with pipeline facility operations and maintenance.
