Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Awake Overnight Shift
Shift: Monday – Friday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Location: Gaithersburg, MD 20878

About HHHSHelpful Hearts Health Services (HHHS) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential services.
Job Responsibilities- Provide overnight supervision and support to individuals receiving services.
- Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals supported.
- Assist with personal care and other support needs as outlined in individual service plans.
- Monitor individuals and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in conditions.
- Complete accurate overnight documentation and shift reports.
- Follow medication-related procedures, individual care plans, and HHHS policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Communicate important updates to incoming staff and supervisors.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass criminal background checks and reference verification
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift, reposition, and assist clients as needed
- Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor
Physical & Emotional Requirements- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and professionally
