About the Role:
DOFA Pathways Corporation is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Columbia, MD. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care, encouragement, and support every single day.



Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions per established protocols
• Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and person-centered approaches
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Medication Technicians (CMT)
• First Aid and CPR
• DDA Complete Package Certification
• Physical Health Clearance Certificate
• MANDT
• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related human services field preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
