Direct Support Professional - Part Time

Job Summary

Boone County Family Resources is looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Direct Support Professional in our residential program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for:

• Assisting with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene
• Developing a rapport with residents and cultivating a safe and supportive relationship
• Providing supervision, training and guidance when needed
• Implementing individual care plans
• Communicating progress to individuals’ support team

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate required
• Valid driver’s license
• Creative problem solving and great attention to detail
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate about the care and well-being of others
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
