Pay: $16.00 per hour

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help individuals with disabilities develop life skills, build independence, achieve personal goals and participate in their communities. You'll receive extensive hands-on training and professional certifications to prepare you for success in this rewarding role.
What You'll Do

• 
  Provide hands-on support and guidance to individuals with disabilities in vocational, community and home settings.
  
• 
  Help individuals develop skills, build confidence and achieve personal goals.
  
• 
  Encourage independence, inclusion and participation in community activities.
  
• 
  Assist with daily activities, mobility and personal care as needed.
  
• 
  Provide transportation to appointments, activities and other locations.
  
• 
  Maintain a safe, positive and supportive environment.
  
• 
  Document progress and maintain accurate records using an electronic case management system.
  
• 
  Work with team members to provide individualized, person-centered support.
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  Must be at least 19 years old.
  
• 
  High school diploma or GED required.
  
• 
  Valid Nebraska driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
  
• 
  Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a related field preferred.
  
• 
  Compassionate, patient and dependable with strong communication skills.
  
• 
  Ability to adapt to changing schedules, individual needs and situations.
  
• 
  Comfortable providing physical assistance, including wheelchair transfers and lifting up to 50 pounds when needed.
  
• 
  Ability to maintain accurate documentation and learn electronic recordkeeping systems.
  
• 
  Willingness to complete required training and certifications.
  

Pay & Schedule

• 
  $16.00 per hour
  
• 
  Full-time: 40 hours per week
  
• 
  Monday Friday, typically 8: 00 AM 4: 00 PM
  
• 
  Occasional earlier mornings, later afternoons, evenings or weekends may be required for transportation, special events, training or program needs.
