About the Role: Elohim Healthcare Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Provider to join our team in Edison, NJ. Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
Assist clients with community integration, social activities, and skill-building exercises
Administer medications and monitor health conditions per care plan guidelines
Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client well-being
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all clients
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (CNA, DSP) a plus
Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
Knowledge of person-centered care and IDD support practices
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements in New Jersey
