Location: Ramona, CA

Job Summary
We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Staff to join our team in supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. You’ll play a key role in helping someone live a full, independent life—whether it’s assisting with daily tasks, running errands, or getting out in the community.  Staff will provide support to an individual diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, including assistance with maintaining daily routines, monitoring for changes in mental health status, implementing behavioral support plans, and promoting overall health, safety, and well-being in collaboration with the individual's interdisciplinary team.


Experience is great, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person!
 
Responsibilities 

• Prepare meals and snacks
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Support personal care, including bathing
• Provide companionship and community engagement 
• Offer meaningful choices and encourage independence
• Assist with errands and grocery shopping
• Dispense medication as directed
• Follow the client's behavior plan
• Accurately complete daily documentation

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving or support experience preferred 
• Must pass DOJ Livescan
• Physical & TB test required during onboarding
• Basic cooking and cleaning skills
• Ability to follow health and safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
