Direct Support Staff

From helping someone learn to ride the bus to supporting daily routines, your work will help clients navigate everyday life with care and encouragement.
Find your shift
Full-time, part-time, and PRN (as-needed) positions. Three shifts are offered, and float positions may be available. Every-other-weekend availability is required.
- 1st shift: 7 a.m.–3 p.m. | $1 shift differential
- 2nd shift: 3 p.m.–11 p.m. | $3 shift differential
- 3rd shift: 11 p.m.–7 a.m. | $2 shift differential
- Weekends: $2 differential
What you'll do
- Teach and reinforce daily living skills based on each client's needs, including personal hygiene and using public transportation.
- Provide protective oversight and supervision to support client safety.
- Document services and communicate with the care team to support continuity of care.
- Support clients as they work toward their individual goals.
- Transport clients to appointments, jobs, and other activities.
- Assist with daily activities and routines.
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes physical and emotional well-being.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Availability to work every other weekend.
- A valid driver's license is required, along with a driving record that meets insurability requirements.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
- Preferred, not required: Previous experience working with people living with chronic mental illness.
