Director, Audit & Accounting - Public Accounting (Hybrid)

Location: Montgomery County, Maryland - hybrid, 2-3 days a week in the office

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus annual bonus potential

About the Opportunity

A well-respected, growing CPA firm in Montgomery County, Maryland is looking for a Director to help lead its audit and accounting practice. You'll oversee engagements, mentor a growing team, and be a trusted advisor to clients in construction, government contracting, and other for-profit industries. The firm is known for a great culture where people genuinely enjoy coming into the office, and it treats its team to two all-expenses-paid company trips every year.

What You'll Do

• Lead and review audit, review, and accounting engagements from planning through delivery
• Serve as a primary client contact and build long-term client relationships
• Mentor, develop, and review the work of managers, seniors, and associates
• Work with firm leadership on practice growth and business development

What You Bring

• Active CPA license
• Significant public accounting audit and accounting experience, including engagement leadership
• Industry experience in construction, government contracting, or for-profit entities
• Strong leadership, client service, and communication skills
• Experience with CCH Axcess is a plus

What's Offered

• $200,000 - $250,000 base salary, depending on experience
