Director role in Corporate Banking Global Financial Institutions Group Insurance Team, based in Chicago, IL or New York, NY.

Blended focus on portfolio management, relationship management, credit underwriting, structuring, risk adjudication, origination, cross-sell, and client relationships.
Supports origination and structuring of corporate lending transactions; coordinates with product teams as part of capital markets coverage.
Covers insurance clients in Life, Non-Life, and Distribution sub-segments across North America, Caribbean, and Europe.
Handles credit due diligence for lending, trade finance, cash management, and trading transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Uses insurance industry expertise to cultivate relationships with new and existing clients; develops new relationships in the insurance sector.

Recognizes opportunities to cross-sell and increase share of wallet.
Collaborates with sector coverage partners to cover clients, prospects, and deliver creative solutions.
Operates as key deal team member to maximize insurance sector penetration and returns.
Creates and delivers pitch books for financial solutions; leads client presentations.
Reviews and guides team members' work to deliver results.
Understands insurance client needs; provides ideas and opinions for recommendations.
Identifies key decision makers and influencers at clients and within the bank.
Maintains awareness of firm products/services and receives continuous updates.
Monitors client, industry, and regulatory changes affecting portfolios and needs.
Prepares credit documentation including applications, memoranda, and presentations for stakeholders.
Manages diverse portfolio of lending exposure insurance clients across sub-sectors and geographies.
Provides deal structuring and negotiates transactions with clients.
Generates updated financial models and analyses as needed.
Applies technical concepts; completes/leads technical and financial reports/analyses for client deliverables.
Conducts due diligence and credit analysis on new/existing relationships, including client visits, business model analysis, industry trends, and regulations.
Breaks down strategic problems; analyzes data for insights and recommendations.
Understands transaction complexities and risks including credit, market, operational, legal/compliance.
Balances bank risk appetite with client needs in recommendations.
Makes decisions based on risk understanding; evaluates risk-return trade-offs; takes accountability for risks.
Integrates risk, internal controls, and compliance into daily accountabilities; adheres to policies.
Acts as change agent for efficiency and effectiveness.
Provides feedback and supports continuous improvement.
Applies insurance expertise creatively to solve complex, non-routine problems.
Technical Skills:
Minimum 10+ years in Corporate Banking covering insurance sector; experience negotiating/structuring lending transactions with successful cross-sell history.
Excellent knowledge of lending/portfolio management policies and objectives.
Excellent knowledge of financial solution products/services.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
Proficient in financial modeling, credit analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, and risk assessment (credit, market, operational, legal/compliance).
Basic Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting preferred, with high academic achievement.
MBA, CFA, or equivalent in financial services, accounting, or legal fields preferred.
Seasoned professional with education, experience, and industry knowledge.
