GENERAL PURPOSE
An effective LPRD is responsible for the protection of all company assets and achieving shortage and safety goals set for the division. This is done by supervising and promoting Loss Prevention initiatives and programs. It is further accomplished by developing and maintaining a strong partnership with the Vice President of Store Operations. Through this partnership the LPRD implements shortage and safety related solutions designed to reduce losses through a combination of applications which include data analysis, audits, training programs and investigations. The LPRD will ensure that all Asset Protection and Safety audits are completed in accordance with the matrix and that audits are done consistently and objectively. Additionally, the LPRD will supervise all aspects of internal and external investigations as well as ensuring the proper training and development of all LP personnel. By having direct involvement with the training of DMs, Store Supervisory staffs and Associates in shortage control and safety awareness the LPRD will help drive the company's shortage and accident reduction goals. The LPRD will ensure accurate and timely submission of all required reports and will effectively handle all other duties assigned by the VP of Loss Prevention.
To achieve an effective partnership with Store Operations the LPRD must develop and maintain ongoing communication and interaction with their VP, DMs, SHRMs and Store Teams through participation in meetings, conference calls and store visits. Additional partnerships will also be developed as the LPRD works with cross functional groups and departments to ensure integrated solutions that impact shortage control and accident reduction initiatives.
The LPRD must be results oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills; have the highest level of personal integrity; and provide direction and leadership to their direct reports.
