Job Description
The New York State Bar Association, a nonprofit professional association based in Albany, is currently seeking a full-time Director of Membership. The position is tasked with successfully developing and implementing campaigns, programs, and services to drive increased membership revenue and member retention.
The Association offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Hybrid or remote scheduling arrangements may be available.
Job Responsibilities
The Director of Membership will be responsible for generating new members through successful execution of programs and products designed to increase membership, as well as executing a new vision for the engagement and retention of members with a sales-driven focus. The Director will work collaboratively with department staff to develop short-term and long-term strategies including the creation of new programs and services and align services to best recruit and support members based on shifting demands and market challenges, as well as lead the execution of these strategic plans and evaluate their success.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or related field is required. The incumbent will also possess a minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in marketing, membership, sales, development, or membership renewal and recruitment operations. Demonstrated success in the strategic and tactical direction of membership or marketing strategies is also required.
