Description
Location: Ontario or British Columbia, Canada (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering Data Platforms & Delivery to lead enterprise-scale data engineering programs, cloud platform modernization, and global engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, hands-on cloud data platform expertise, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale data initiatives while driving client success, operational excellence, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead enterprise data engineering and cloud platform delivery programs.
- Manage globally distributed engineering teams and technical leads.
- Drive modern data platform implementations using AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or GCP.
- Provide technical leadership across Data Engineering, DataOps, SQL, Python, APIs, and CI/CD.
- Establish Agile delivery practices using Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Implement DataOps best practices including data quality, observability, lineage, and governance.
- Partner with business stakeholders and executives to define technology roadmaps.
- Support client engagement, solutioning, account growth, and engineering excellence.
- Mentor engineering managers and build high-performing delivery teams.
- 10 15 years of experience in Engineering Leadership, Data Engineering, or Program Delivery.
- Strong expertise with AWS and at least one active AWS certification.
- Experience delivering enterprise cloud data platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, and DataOps.
- Experience managing global engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience with Consent Management Platforms or Data Clean Rooms.
- Experience with API development and modern application delivery.
- Domain experience in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, Healthcare, Fitness, or Lifestyle.
- Experience supporting pre-sales, solutioning, and business development initiatives.
