We are committed to trauma-informed care, innovation, and sustainable impact across all service lines.

    Position Summary

YCS is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Grants Strategy & Management to lead and grow the organization's enterprise-wide grant funding efforts. This role serves as the primary authority for all grant-related initiatives across YCS systems and is responsible for developing, writing, managing, and tracking a comprehensive grants portfolio aligned with organizational priorities and program impact goals.

The Director will oversee the full grant lifecycle - from opportunity identification and proposal development through compliance, reporting, and funder stewardship - while collaborating closely with executive leadership, finance, clinical teams, and program leadership.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Grant Strategy & Funding Development

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive grant strategy aligned with YCS strategic priorities
    • Build and maintain a diversified pipeline of foundation, corporate, government, and institutional funding opportunities
    • Identify funding opportunities supporting behavioral health, workforce development, program innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives
    • Monitor funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
    • Establish internal grant review and intake processes

    Grant Writing & Proposal Development

    • Lead the development and submission of grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and institutional applications
    • Translate complex clinical and community-based initiatives into compelling, fundable narratives
    • Coordinate proposal timelines, supporting materials, and submission requirements
    • Ensure all content reflects YCS's mission, trauma-informed approach, and measurable impact

    Grant Management & Compliance

    • Oversee grant tracking, compliance, reporting, renewals, and documentation systems
    • Manage reporting calendars and collaborate with program and finance teams on interim and final reports
    • Ensure compliance with funder requirements and audit readiness
    • Track outcomes, metrics, and impact reporting

    Cross-Department Collaboration

    • Partner with executive leadership, program directors, finance, and clinical teams to support funded initiatives
    • Coordinate implementation workflows, data collection, and reporting processes
    • Lead grant kickoff meetings and maintain oversight of deliverables and timelines

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, Social Services, English, or related field
    • Master's degree preferred
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in grant writing, grant management, and institutional funding development
    • Demonstrated success securing private, public, and institutional grant funding
    • Experience in nonprofit, behavioral health, social services, education, or healthcare environments strongly preferred
    • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and project management skills
    • Experience managing full grant lifecycles, compliance, and reporting requirements
    • Experience securing six-figure and/or multi-year grants preferred
