Location: Riverside, RI
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Person
Travel Required: Regular travel between sites (mileage reimbursed)
System-Level Clinical Impact – Set the standard for nursing practice across a multi-site community health organization
People-Centered Leadership – Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing nursing leaders and teams
Strategic Influence – Partner with the Medical Director, VP of Operations, Risk Management, and People Operations
Authority & Accountability – Exercise independent clinical and operational judgment across nursing programs

Executive Leadership Exposure – Serve as a core member of the Health Leadership Team
Quality & Safety Ownership – Lead infection control, risk mitigation, and clinical quality initiatives
Regulatory Mastery – Oversee compliance with HRSA, FTCA, Title X, 340B, CLIA, Joint Commission, and NCQA
Program Oversight – Direct medication management, vaccine programs, and clinical policy development
Organizational Influence – Shape integrated care models, new programs, and cross-site operational excellence
Predictable Schedule – Standard health center hours with limited evening/weekend needs

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide direct supervision to Nurse Managers, Nurse Care Managers, and Transition of Care Nurses
  • Conduct biweekly supervision, coaching, mentorship, and annual performance evaluations
  • Coordinate nursing staffing, scheduling, and coverage across all health centers
  • Facilitate nursing leadership meetings and site huddles that promote alignment and accountability
  • Serve as the senior clinical resource for complex patient care and urgent clinical decisions
  • Serve as EBCAP’s Infection Control Officer and lead the organization-wide infection control program
  • Partner with Risk Management on incident review, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
  • Lead audits and readiness efforts for Title X, 340B, CLIA, and other regulatory programs
  • Oversee medication and vaccine management, including ordering, storage, cold chain, and administration
  • Develop, maintain, and implement clinical policies, protocols, and standing orders in collaboration with the Medical Director
  • Oversee nursing operations across primary care, behavioral health, and integrated care settings
  • Ensure consistent execution of immunization, sterilization, and medication protocols
  • Provide clinical leadership for new and expanding programs, including school-linked and integrated behavioral health initiatives
  • Collaborate with quality, billing, and IT teams to improve EHR documentation and clinical workflows
  • Create a culture where nurses feel supported, accountable, and empowered to grow
  • Standardize onboarding, competencies, training materials, and continuing education pathways
  • Ensure compliance with licensure, certifications, and mandatory training requirements
  • Partner with People Operations on recruitment, retention, recognition, and workforce development

Qualifications


Education & Licensure
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent director-level experience strongly preferred
  • Active Rhode Island RN license in good standing
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Experience
  • 7–12 years of progressive nursing experience
  • At least 5 years in community health, primary care, or behavioral health settings
  • Minimum of 3 years in nursing leadership or supervision
  • Demonstrated experience with infection control, quality programs, and regulatory compliance
  • Clinical Leadership – Strong judgment, evidence-based practice, and system-level thinking
  • People Developer – Proven ability to coach, mentor, and retain high-performing teams
  • Operational Insight – Skilled at turning clinical metrics and audits into action
  • Collaborative Communicator – Trusted partner across disciplines and leadership levels
  • Steady Under Pressure – Leads calmly through complexity, growth, and change
  • Detail-Oriented – Meticulous about compliance, documentation, and patient safety
  • Experience in an FQHC or similarly complex community health environment
  • Quality improvement expertise (PDSA, Lean, or similar frameworks)
  • Proficiency with NextGen EHR
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese
