The Director of Nursing oversees nursing services for the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities in Mantua, Ohio, and five Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) Group Homes located in Solon, Oakwood Village, and Uniontown, Ohio. This leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight for all nursing functions within ICF Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include managing nursing programs, staffing, budgets, and policies while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes and operational excellence. As a visible and engaged leader, this position promotes collaboration, effective communication, and continuous improvement throughout all service locations.

Job Opening:

  • Full-Time Director of Nursing, salaried, exempt
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, on-call required
  • Starting salary $49.45 – $64.28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • Primarily based in Mantua, Ohio - 124-bed long-term care facility for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with an additional office in Oakwood Village, Ohio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all nursing services across six ICF locations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary leaders to promote positive resident outcomes and coordinated care.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, certification standards, infection prevention protocols, and organizational policies.
  • Manage nursing department staffing, scheduling, labor resources, and 24/7 coverage to meet resident care needs.
  • Oversee nursing-related quality improvement initiatives, clinical reviews, and corrective action plans to enhance care delivery.
  • Serve as the nursing liaison to pharmacy services, including oversight of medication management processes, medication errors, and pharmacy compliance.
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure effective utilization of resources.
  • Serve as pivotal player in clinical leadership committees (e.g., Quality Improvement Committee, Infection Prevention Committee, Corporate Compliance Committee, Pharmacy Committee, Safety Committee, Clinical Leadership/Interdisciplinary Committee,) as assigned.
  • Oversee nursing assessments, admissions processes, clinical documentation, and delegated nursing programs to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of direct RN and/or LPN nursing experience in a hospital, long-term care, long-term acute care, or ID/DD setting.
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
  • Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required. Maintain licensure renewal with active status and without disciplinary action is required to maintain employment in this position.
  • Working knowledge of CMS regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
  • BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license required.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of Ohio as needed.
