We are currently conducting a search for a Director of Nursing (DON) on behalf of a national senior living operator in Seattle, WA.

 

Position Details

Title: Director of Nursing (DON)

Location: Seattle, WA

Compensation: Up to $150,000

Qualifications

  • • Active RN license required
    • Director of Nursing, Health Services Director, or similar leadership experience preferred
    • Background in senior living, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, or related healthcare setting
    • Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing clinical staff
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hospitality-driven mindset
    • Ability to balance clinical oversight with hands-on leadership when needed
    • Experience with regulatory compliance and nurse delegation (Washington experience preferred)
    • Demonstrated success in building culture, driving accountability, and improving team performance

 

Key Responsibilities

  • • Oversee all clinical operations across Assisted Living and Memory Care
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team including LPNs, caregivers, and department leaders
    • Ensure high standards of resident care, safety, and satisfaction
    • Foster a culture of hospitality and service alongside clinical excellence
    • Provide clinical guidance including wound care, assessments, and nurse delegation as needed
    • Maintain compliance with all state regulations and company policies
    • Partner closely with Executive Director and leadership team on overall community performance
    • Support staffing, scheduling, and team stability in a competitive labor market
    • Identify opportunities for operational and clinical improvements
    • Act as a visible, hands-on leader willing to step in and support the team when necessary
