Location: Remote, with periodic meetings (virtual or in-person) with the DCC team, tech and marketing company, and prospective donors
Our client is a passion project created by people who have experience caregiving for individuals with dementia. Launched about a year ago as a community built by and for dementia caregivers, offering insights, solutions, and relief day and night. DCC provides practical guidance, compassionate resources, and community connection — including articles, caregiver suggestions, and audio content — to families navigating dementia care, all free and donation-supported.
The Director of Operations will take on DCC's day-to-day operational work — finance, content and program oversight, partnerships, and administrative support — working alongside a small, engaged team. This person will work largely independently, checking in for input and direction, with direct access to the Board and close, ongoing collaboration with DCC's technology marketing company on new content, campaigns, and digital initiatives. This is a part-time, remote, contract role (~20 hours/week) with frequent meetings with the DCC team and prospective donors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting to the Board.
Oversee development and quality review of DCC's caregiver resources, including written articles, guides, and AI-assisted or audio content.
Work closely with DCC's technology marketing company to maintain and grow the website, donation pages, and marketing materials.
Manage legal and compliance matters (contracts, terms of use, privacy policy) in partnership with outside counsel.
Build and maintain relationships with funders, partner organizations, and community referral sources.
Prepare board meeting materials and minutes and track follow-up on Board action items alongside Founder Pete Lindquist.
Serve as a direct point of contact for the Board, communicating regularly outside of formal meetings.
Respond to inbound community and caregiver inquiries, ensuring timely, appropriate follow-up.
Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and other tools to streamline administrative and accounting workflows.
Meet with the team and prospective donors as needed, representing DCC professionally and in a mission-aligned way.
