Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our long-term care facility. This senior leadership role partners with clinical and administrative teams to promote operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, staff engagement, and a high standard of resident care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across facility departments and services.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
• Partner with nursing and department leaders to promote quality outcomes, resident safety, and satisfaction.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, purchasing, and operational resources.
• Lead performance improvement, survey readiness, and corrective action initiatives.
• Establish performance expectations and hold leadership teams accountable for operational goals.
• Support employee engagement, retention, professional development, and a positive workplace culture.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, providers, vendors, and organizational leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within long-term care, skilled nursing, senior living, or a related healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple departments, managing budgets, and leading operational improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, quality improvement, and long-term care operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and achieve measurable results.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
