ManTech seeks a Director of Operations to lead core business operations, cross-functional execution, and operational strategy across Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) portfolios. In this role, ManTech seeks a proven operational leader to optimize resource allocation, drive process improvement, enforce industrial security compliance, and advise executive leadership to ensure mission delivery and sustained organizational growth for key national security stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Operational & Strategic Leadership: ManTech seeks a leader to direct end-to-end business operations, strategic planning, and cross-functional program execution supporting DoD and IC mission outcomes. Manage corporate governance, process improvement initiatives, and business systems integration.
Business Development & Growth Support: ManTech seeks an operational executive to partner on capture management and business development strategies across DoD, IC, Special Operations Forces (SOF), DARPA, AFRL, and adjacent federal organizations while building strong relationships with government stakeholders, industry partners, and prime contractors.
Industrial Security & Compliance: ManTech seeks an expert to oversee Facility Clearance (FCL) sponsorship activities, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) coordination, CMMC readiness, security documentation, and industrial security program development.
Workforce & Enterprise Operations: ManTech seeks a manager to direct workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, contract administration, and vendor management to maximize operational efficiency and team capability.
Executive Advisory & Risk Management: ManTech seeks a trusted advisor to counsel executive leadership on operational strategy, delivery risks, resource allocation, and long-term scaling initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field combined with 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience managing complex technical or defense programs within the DoD and IC sectors.
Operational Expertise: Demonstrated track record directing workforce planning, contract administration, vendor management, business systems optimization, and corporate governance.
Security & Compliance: Proven experience managing industrial security programs, including DCSA coordination, FCL sponsorship activities, and CMMC readiness frameworks.
Growth Collaboration: Hands-on experience supporting business development, proposal execution, and stakeholder engagement across DoD, IC, SOF, DARPA, and AFRL organizations.
Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Operations Management, or an equivalent executive credential.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or CMMC-related credentials.
Leadership & Strategy: Proven capacity to manage large-scale multi-functional teams, advise executive leadership on operational risk, and foster long-term partnerships with prime contractors and agency leads.
The projected compensation range for this position is $153,800.00-$275,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
