Position Description:
The Director of Development will lead highly technical engineering teams overseeing the development of the PAR Retail platform. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering, this role plays a key part in evolving a predictable, repeatable, measurable, and scalable engineering organization.
This individual will drive the execution of product engineering initiatives—on time, on budget, and with high quality—while fostering a culture of collaboration, simplicity, and product-focused development. They will also contribute to resource planning, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and outcomes across the organization.

What We’re Looking For:
· 5+ years in software development leadership, ideally within a SaaS environment
· Proven track record managing distributed teams (preferably across the U.S. and Eastern Europe)
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Experience supporting enterprise-scale, highly available applications
· Familiarity with service-oriented platform architectures
· Demonstrated ability to simplify complex systems and processes
· Deep technical expertise and past hands-on development experience
· Experience collaborating with internal executives and external technical stakeholders
Additional Skills:
· Experience operating Kubernetes deployments at scale
· Expert-level knowledge of AWS or other cloud providers
· Industry experience in retail services or fuel & convenience is a plus
· Local to PAR Retail HQ in Philadelphia, PA is a bonus
