A leading acute care hospital in New Mexico is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to oversee and optimize all pharmacy operations. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare pharmacist with acute care experience, strong operational acumen, and the ability to drive compliance, quality, and financial performance across the department.
Lead all pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and staff performance
Manage department budgets, financial reporting, and resource planning
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accreditation standards
Oversee development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership on strategic goals
Drive operational improvements and standardize pharmacy procedures
Active or eligible New Mexico Pharmacist license
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (required); PharmD, MS, or MBA (preferred)
5+ years of healthcare pharmacy experience, with at least 2 in a leadership role
Proven experience with budgeting, program development, and compliance
Acute care hospital experience is required (retail/long-term care is not applicable)
Strong communication, team leadership, and process improvement skills
Prior for-profit hospital experience is a plus
