Core Responsibilities

Business Development, Leadership, Strategic Planning

• Develop and expand relationships with developers, owners, lenders, private equity groups, family offices, REITs, institutional investors, and other capital providers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for project management, owner's representation, construction monitoring, and development advisory services.
• Partner with division leadership to establish growth strategies, target markets, and revenue objectives.
• Lead client pursuits, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic guidance throughout the development and construction lifecycle.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and professional organizations.
• Cultivate relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, legal counsel, and industry partners to support business development efforts.
• Contribute market intelligence and industry insights to strengthen the firm's competitive position within the debt and equity advisory sector.

Operations

• Lead project management and owner's representative services for complex real estate and infrastructure developments.
• Oversee project execution from pre-development, planning, and entitlement through construction, commissioning, and occupancy.
• Establish project governance structures, reporting standards, and performance metrics across multiple engagements.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, cash flow forecasts, risk registers, and stakeholder communications.
• Review and evaluate construction budgets, cost estimates, GMPs, contractor qualifications, change orders, payment applications, and draw requests.
• Conduct technical due diligence for acquisitions, financings, refinancings, recapitalizations, and development projects.
• Provide construction monitoring and progress reporting services on behalf of lenders, investors, and equity partners.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect client investments and improve project outcomes.
• Lead and mentor project managers, consultants, and support staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client service.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with internal standards, industry best practices, and client requirements.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations summarizing project performance, risks, recommendations, and financial impacts.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience, and at least 5 years in management capacity.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, life sciences, healthcare, institutional, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting lenders, investors, developers, or capital markets clients through project monitoring, due diligence, and advisory services.
• Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects and client relationships.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Exceptional client relationship management and business development capabilities.
• Ability to balance technical, financial, and operational priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction management principles, project delivery methods, and development processes.
• Strong understanding of development finance, construction lending, capital stacks, debt and equity structures, and investor requirements.
• Expertise in construction budgeting, cost estimating, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management.
• Working knowledge of loan monitoring, draw administration, construction accounting, and investment oversight processes.
• Familiarity with AIA contracts, GMP agreements, procurement strategies, and construction contract administration.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate the financial implications of construction and development risks.
• Proficiency with project management platforms, scheduling software, and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced capabilities in stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and cross-functional team leadership.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvements and revenue growth.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations, permitting requirements, and industry best practices.
