In A Nutshell:

The Media Director, Retail Media will be tasked with high level operations management, fostering client relationships, and overseeing buying strategy and executional excellence. The Director reports to a S/VP, Media, and will work on a cohesive team consisting of buying, planning, and analytics professionals working across one or more clients. Our Directors work closely with our clients, platform representatives, and vendors to ensure VaynerMedia is on the cutting edge of retail media  buying trends.  We look for Directors who embody a true leadership mentality.  We love seeing leaders who devote their days to making their teams successful, working for them, not above them, providing thought leadership, guidance, and fostering their growth within VaynerMedia.  This position would be required to come into our NYC office upwards of three days a week. 

What You’d Do:

• Craft and execute marketing strategies to create effective traffic and sales across clients portfolios impacting retail media  growth.
• Lead the development and execution of an omnichannel retail media strategy, enabling seamless consumer purchasing across all digital touchpoints.
• Drive strategy, performance, and revenue growth across the complete retail media funnel, incorporating sponsored search/product ads with on-site display and off-site programmatic channels
• Act as the key contact for client and platform partners, operating as a go-to voice and leader.
• Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and creative teams to ensure business goals are met and executed for best in class performance
• Continue to establish internal policies and POVs on agency partnerships, the general digital media landscape, and current client business cases.
• Manage up to senior leadership corresponding to the most crucial aspects of a client's business, keeping them abreast of any pertinent developments and urgent client needs.
• Forge new relationships with clients, and ultimately maintain account/s for the well-being of the immediate team and the larger agency.
• Oversee a team providing leadership, mentorship, vision and engage, and grow direct reports and provide a positive work environment.  

What You’ve Got:

• A minimum 8+ years of industry experience working in a platform with a proven track record of executing sophisticated, large scale digital media programs that drove tangible business outcomes.
• Direct experience managing and overseeing $25M - $50M+ annual retail media spend
• Proficiency in social platforms, with a focus on those with retail media audience and data integrations (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.)
• Experience with data analytics platforms for reporting and dashboarding (Tableau, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Snowflake), with a particular focus on how to leverage retail media and digital shelf analytics and insights to inform strategies
• Proficiency across large-scale media buying expected, but not limited to:
• • Amazon Ads: AAC, Amazon DSP, Managed Service
  • Retail Media Platforms: Walmart Connect, Instacart Ads, Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, Criteo Commerce Max, CitrusAd, PromoteIQ
• Knowledge of the core features of leading SaaS platforms such as: Skai, Pacvue, CommerceIQ, etc
• Fluency with analytics, attribution and measurement systems such as: Google Analytics, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Tableau, Stratum Luminate
• Experience successfully navigating a portfolio of brands maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
