What You'll Do

Visteon's Global Sales Director is responsible to build and lead a capable and dynamic team, providing strong business results and driving incremental sales in the rapidly growing automotive market. As the Global Sales Director you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic plans for US based OEMs, driving sales growth, and managing a team of global account managers. Additionally you will:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations, becoming a trusted advisor and advocate for the company

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure timely delivery of products and services that meet customer needs

  • Manage, coach and develop key leaders within your global account managers, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the achievement of business objectives.

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to inform business decisions and develop effective sales strategies

  • Forecast sales and revenue, track performance against targets, and develop action plans to address performance gaps

  • Provide regular updates on business performance to senior leadership and make recommendations for improvement

  • Understand the key customers' requirements such as cost, functionality, features and other performance metrics and promote the corresponding Visteon products.

  • Drive global account strategy & design wins for AI-solutions, Cockpit Electronics, Displays, Infotainment, ADAS/Autonomy, Electrification, and other Visteon offerings to customer

What You'll Bring

  • Strategic leader with excellent communication skills able to navigate high level complex business opportunities and the ability to build strong and collaborative relationship to engage customer's technical, commercial and executives' teams to establish strategic partnerships.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Product Management or related experience. Preferred experience with Ford and other US based OEMs.
  • Passionate about technology innovation and business with interests and experience creating and positioning new products and services.
  • The successful candidates should be motivated, analytical, persuasive and possess a strong technology product knowledge and business acumen with an outstanding track record in sales.
  • Adept at growing sales, negotiating pricing, identifying profitable business opportunities, developing sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators: KPIs that will be used to evaluate the performance of the individual in the role, including metrics related to team performance, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Client Satisfaction: The Global Director of Sales should maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels for their key clients. This can be measured through client feedback surveys, and the Global Director should be able to address any issues that may arise.
  • Strategic Planning: The Director of Sales should be able to develop and execute long-term strategic plans for their key clients, in alignment with the company's overall objectives. This KPI can be measured by tracking the achievement of strategic milestones and objectives over time.
  • Sales Growth: The Director of Sales should be able to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets for their key clients. This KPI can be measured by tracking the revenue growth percentage on a year-over-year basis
  • New Business Development: The Global Director of Sales will identify and pursue new business opportunities with their key clients, resulting in increased revenue and market share. This KPI can be measured by tracking the percentage of new business generated from existing clients.
  • Profitability: The Global Director of Sales will manage global business strategies for their key accounts. This KPI can be measured by tracking the profit margin percentage for the Director's accounts.

Reporting Structure: The Global Sales Director will report directly to Visteon's, Vice President Sales, Americas
