Position: Director, Supply Chain & Procurement
Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 (plus annual performance bonus)
Location: Windsor, Connecticut (On-site)

Position Summary Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director, Supply Chain & Procurement is a hands-on leader responsible for all sourcing, planning, inventory, supplier quality, logistics, and material availability. This role drives long-term supply chain strategies while actively supporting daily manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Sourcing

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies, strategic sourcing programs, and supplier development initiatives aligned with growth objectives.
  • Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), long-range capacity planning, and business continuity/risk mitigation plans. Daily Operations & Logistics
  • Oversee procurement, planning, inventory control, and logistics activities.
  • Optimize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) utilization to drive daily production priorities and resolve supplier delivery bottlenecks. Supplier Quality & Delivery Assurance
  • Drive supplier on-time delivery performance through rigorous KPI management and capacity assessments.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to execute supplier audits, SCARs, root cause analyses, PPAP, and FAI activities. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
  • Lead Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), and Lean Six Sigma initiatives to build scalable supply chain processes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to AS9100 quality requirements, ITAR regulations, and FAR/DFARS flow-down standards. Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: o 6+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience in aerospace manufacturing (strictly required). o 3+ years of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on ERP/MRP experience; working knowledge of Laboratory Control Source (LCS) requirements; proven supplier negotiation skills.
  • Preferred Certifications: APICS (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD), CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma Certification. Compensation & Benefits
