JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE: The primary function of the Dishwasher is to assist the restaurant staff with dishwashing support services, clean tables, dining area, and clean up after customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the kitchen staff as needed
- Clean all dishes, pots, utensils, silverware from the restaurant
- Put away the dishes and all equipment used
- Take out the garbage
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to customers
- Clear away dishes, glassware and utensils after each customer. (Bus Tables)
- Assist wait staff with refilling customers water and beverage glasses
- Sweep and vacuum dining area as needed, maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Provide excellent customer service – take telephone orders – suggestive selling
- Communicate with other staff regarding needs of customers
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Municipal Food Worker Card
- Some experience in customer service helpful but not required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and constant use of hands, arms, eyes and voice
- Must work as a team player
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work
- Perform opening and closing duties as appropriate
- Arrive on time and demonstrate effective time management
- Other tasks and duties based on the needs of the business
