Job Summary:As a dishwasher, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. You play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen and overall restaurant operations by maintaining a clean and organized dishwashing area.
Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using manual and automated cleaning methods.
- Kitchen Support: Assist kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils for food preparation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain dishwashing equipment, report any malfunctions, and follow proper procedures for equipment usage.
- Organization: Organize and store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas, ensuring easy access for kitchen staff.
- Trash Removal: Dispose of kitchen waste and trash in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Cleaning Duties: Contribute to general kitchen cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and maintaining a tidy work area.
- Adherence to Health Standards: Follow health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
