Position Summary

The Dishwasher ensures a continuous supply of clean dishware, glassware, utensils, and cookware while maintaining the cleanliness of the dish area. This role is essential to the efficiency, safety, and flow of the entire operation. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, fast, and takes pride in keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

Compensation

$13.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishware, glassware, cookware, and utensils efficiently
  • Operate and maintain the dish machine correctly and safely
  • Ensure all items are cleaned to health-code and fine-dining standards

Cleanliness & Organization

  • Keep the dish area, sinks, and surrounding floors clean, dry, and organized
  • Properly store and organize clean dishware and equipment
  • Maintain a steady, organized flow of clean ware to the kitchen and FOH

Kitchen Support

  • Support the BOH team with basic cleaning and stocking tasks as needed
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required
  • Help maintain a clean, efficient, and well-supplied kitchen

Equipment Handling

  • Handle dishware, glassware, and equipment carefully to minimize breakage
  • Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions

Safety & Standards

  • Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols
  • Keep walkways and work areas clean, dry, and unobstructed
  • Handle hot items and equipment safely and professionally

Qualifications

  • No experience required; restaurant experience a plus
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and physical stamina
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
  • Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift as required
