Job Overview: 
As a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper you’ll be responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses. Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry. 
 
Your Responsibilities:   
  • Operate industrial dishwasher. 
  • Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary. 
  • Empty and clean all trash receptacles 
  • Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources. 
  • Clean dish storage. 
  • Follow sanitation policies at all times. 
  • Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times 
  • Perform opening, closing and side work assigned. 
  • Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately. 
  • Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party. 
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. 
  • Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. 
Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary. 
  • Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and is able to interact and communicate successfully to the residents and team.​  
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with various types of communications. 
Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job function 
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures. 
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; 
  • Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3ft); 
  • Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment; 
  • Reach with hands and arms; 
  • Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; 
 
Schedule: Varies based on the needs of the community. 
 
What We Offer:
As a part-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full supplemental benefits to include dental and vision. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.
 
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
