The following Core Responsibilities represent the primary duties and key priorities of this position. They are grouped into two categories: Job Functions and Professionalism and Style Expectations.

Each responsibility is assigned a weight indicating the percentage of the job it represents. For performance evaluations, the Core Responsibilities account for 90% of the overall score, while the Professionalism and Style Expectations make up the remaining 10%.
Availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts is required.
Dishwashing and Kitchen Sanitation Operations
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain a continuous supply of clean dishes and kitchen equipment to support food service operations.
Properly sort, scrape, rinse, and load items into the dish machine following established procedures.
Wash oversized kitchen equipment and cookware by hand when necessary.
Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried, stored, and organized in designated areas.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, drains, trash receptacles, and surrounding workspaces.
Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with hotel policies and safety procedures.
Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies as needed.
Safely operate dishwashing equipment and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
Support kitchen staff by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Respond promptly to supervisor requests.
Follow all hotel policies, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Assist with additional kitchen or food and beverage duties as assigned.

These are required of every associate:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.
Ability to safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and handle cleaning chemicals.
Ability to work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
Ability to perform repetitive motions and tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Ability to hear, write, and communicate effectively.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Must possess a basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
Must be able to safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and properly use cleaning chemicals.
Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness in a high-volume kitchen environment.
High school education or equivalent experience is preferred.
Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications in a timely manner.
CPR certification is preferred; first aid training is a plus.
Additional language proficiency is preferred.
Salary: $18.57 - $19.55 / Hourly
