Immediate Opening for Dispatcher/Driver Manager 3rd Shift

Martin Transportation Systems is seeking a highly qualified Trucking Dispatcherfor our Toledo, OH dispatch operation. We are looking for an individual with previous trucking/transportation dispatch experience who is ready to take their existing skills to the next level.

The individual selected will dispatch and coordinate CDL-A drivers on dedicated, JIT, round-trip loads while safely meeting revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and computer skills, including experience with transportation dispatch systems. The ability to multitask, think critically, and make complex decisions quickly is essential.

Dispatcher Essential Functions

• Oversee, coordinate, and dispatch CDL-A drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of all truckload shipments from vendors to auto assembly plants or other locations
• Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance with HOS regulations and company policy
• Work as a team with other central dispatch staff, customer service employees, and customers
• Promote driver safety and safe workplace performance
• Interface with and update computer trucking systems
• Evaluate driver performance and compliance
• Monitor and respond to changing operational conditions and resolve transportation issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• Previous trucking/transportation dispatch experience is required
• Previous experience dispatching CDL-A drivers is strongly preferred
• Shift: 3rd Shift
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 11:30 PM 7:30 AM, every other Sunday
• Excellent computer skills
• Experience with transportation industry technology such as TMW and Samsara preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be a creative and effective problem solver
• Ability to make sound decisions quickly in a time-sensitive transportation environment
• Knowledge of hours of service a plus
