Job Title: Dispatcher – Evening Shift

About Us

All Year Cooling and Plumbing has served South Florida since 1973, providing air conditioning installation, maintenance, repair, and plumbing services. We’re hiring an Evening Dispatcher to help keep service calls organized, technicians on schedule, and customers informed.

About the Position

Our dispatchers are the connection between our customers and field technicians. In this role, you’ll manage the evening dispatch board, respond to incoming service requests, and adjust schedules as calls progress. We’re looking for someone who follows through, communicates clearly, and can keep a busy evening running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch HVAC and plumbing technicians based on location, availability, job requirements, and urgency.

• Monitor technician progress and adjust assignments to account for delays, cancellations, and new service requests.

• Provide customers with arrival windows and timely updates when schedules change.

• Give technicians accurate job details, customer notes, and access instructions.

• Coordinate urgent service requests and involve management when additional support is needed.

• Maintain accurate work orders, dispatch notes, and technician schedules.

• Coordinate with warehouse staff or management regarding parts and materials needed for service calls.

• Follow company procedures for customer communication, dispatching, and escalation.

• Prepare clear handoff notes for outstanding calls and next-day follow-up.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support dispatch operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching, scheduling, or service coordination experience; HVAC, plumbing, or home services experience preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Professional phone manner and clear written communication.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound scheduling decisions.

• Comfortable using dispatch software, GPS/routing systems, and Microsoft Office.

• Familiarity with South Florida geography and travel times preferred.

• Dependable follow-through and the ability to work independently while communicating with the team.

• Availability to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
