Responsibilities & Requirements
The Dispatcher II plays a critical role in supporting patient safety, access, and operational reliability by coordinating emergency and non-emergency communications, dispatching security and transport personnel, and monitoring safety systems across Kettering Health facilities. This position ensures timely, accurate, and confidential communication to support safety and security operations, contributing to a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.High school diploma or GED.Minimum of 1 year of experience in dispatch, emergency communications, or a related fieldEmergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification within 90 days of hireLEADS/NCIC certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree in a related field Experience in a healthcare or public safety environment APCO Basic Telecommunicator certification CPR Certification Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification
