Distillation Operator

The Production Distillation Operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining distillation and related processing equipment used in the production of citrus oils, citrus-derived ingredients, apple essences, and other food-grade products.

This position performs production activities in accordance with established operating procedures, production schedules, quality specifications, food safety requirements, and company safety policies. The Distillation Operator is responsible for monitoring process conditions, making appropriate operating adjustments, accurately documenting production activities, and ensuring that finished products meet established quality and food safety standards.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with pumps, tanks, valves, piping, heat exchangers, vacuum systems, and distillation equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Follow all Food Safety policies and procedures provided by FSMS as it pertains to the Production Operator
position.
• Analyze data outcomes to make critical process decisions.
• Adhere to all cGMP and safety requirements.
• Assists Lead Operator in daily operations and regular cleaning of production area.
• Ensure correct material is staged for the distillation.
• Assist in still operation, i.e. charging equipment, transferring material, drumming material, issuing/reporting material
from the distillation run, and accurately labeling containers.
• Compliance with GMP: Regular cleaning of production area and assist others as needed.
• Provide QC and lab with samples of product for quality testing, when requested.
• Dispense WIP materials to drums and containers of various sizes, label, and store appropriately.
• Updating and filing all necessary production documentation accurately and precisely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
