Job Summary:

Responsible for working in and monitoring/coordinating the work flow in functional Distribution Area. Demonstrated working knowledge in all areas such as Picking (carousel, automatic dispense machine (ADM), pick to light (PTL), voice picking, list picking via RF scanners), Packing (small order, multi tote, advanced shipment notice (ASN)), Problem resolve and Carrier Sorter. Must have general knowledge of Private Label, Inventory Control, and general process flow through out Distribution Center. Must be proficient in primary work area. Acts as a backup in the absence of Supervisor for day to day activities. Must be able to provide strong guidance, leadership, communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills across various levels. Requires minimal supervision.

  • Requires expert knowledge within a specific operational discipline typically gained through broad work experience and/or education.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of departmental workflows, production processes, and resource allocation.
  • Experience handling employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Ability to step into supervisory responsibilities and make sound decisions independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and maintain positive working relationships with internal partners.

  • Ability to use assigned computer systems

Work Environment:

  • Noisy conditions > 75%

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environment, including at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $24.00 and $26.50 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.

  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of departmental operations and effectively assigns or reassigns employees to tasks as needed.
  • Manages daily staffing by monitoring employee attendance, absences, and work restrictions to ensure production goals are consistently achieved.
  • Maintains and updates the department or shift training matrix; identifies skill gaps and initiates appropriate training plans.
  • Addresses employee concerns and conflicts, escalating to the Supervisor when appropriate; documents relevant issues in the Supervisor Log as required.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements in processes, safety, and quality; actively supports and leads change with a continuous improvement (CI) mindset.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with other departments to support operational efficiency.
  • Represents management by promoting and modeling company values and supporting key initiatives; may assume Supervisor responsibilities in their absence or as needed.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of production-related results for the area, including significant expenditure implications.
  • Makes recommendations for new procedures and adjustments to current processes to improve effectiveness of job area.
  • Operational targets are generally achieved through leading other team members within the job area through delegation and review.
  • As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
