What You'll Do

  • Assist in planning and designing electric and gas distribution systems
  • Help determine the size, location, and timing of infrastructure needed for reliable service
  • Create design packages for overhead and underground distribution systems using AutoCAD
  • Participate in field visits to gather site data and better understand real-world conditions
  • Identify potential conflicts or design challenges and support solutions
  • Perform basic engineering calculations using established methods and tools
  • Support post-construction reviews and learn how designs translate into built systems
  • Work closely with teammates to learn industry standards, tools, and best practices
  • Maintain organized and accurate project documentation

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or coursework count!)
  • Basic understanding of power distribution or energy systems
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools
  • Strong willingness to learn, grow, and take feedback
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
  • Good communication skills and eagerness to collaborate with a team

Great to Have (But Not Required)

  • Exposure to overhead or underground distribution systems
  • Coursework or projects related to power delivery or utilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
