Distribution Operations Manager

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with an established, growing industrial distribution organization to identify a Distribution Operations Manager in Farmers Branch, TX. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity working Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM, overseeing distribution center operations, inventory management, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive distribution experience who thrives in a high-volume environment, uses data to drive decisions, and is passionate about developing teams and improving operational performance.

Required:

• 10+ years of operations management experience, including a strong background in distribution center operations
• Experience directly leading teams of 20+ employees
• Hands-on experience overseeing inbound/outbound operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze KPIs, labor productivity, and operational performance
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Experience managing high-volume distribution operations with 20,000+ SKUs
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
• Experience developing staffing plans, managing labor costs, and improving operational efficiency
• Background implementing process improvements, quality controls, and warehouse safety initiatives
• Experience coaching, training, and developing distribution center teams
