Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading and managing field installation operations within the assigned geographic area and/or designated location(s). The incumbent is responsible for developing strategies and executing tactics that drive installation operational activities, customer service functions, and DSO target achievement across branches within their district.


This individual will drive culture change within local teams with a strong focus on aligning field and sales teams as one cohesive organization. They will ensure a strong emphasis on national account and local customer service, organic growth, and achieving all branch P&L performance goals. The District Installation Manager (DIM) provides leadership, strategic direction, problem resolution, and staff management while implementing programs that drive continuous improvement. A key focus is achieving and promoting the Securitas culture to enhance overall business performance.

The DIM reports directly to the District General Manager (DGM). The DGM works in coordination with the District Service Manager (DSM) and Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to ensure successful project delivery and service execution throughout the district. The DGM reports directly to the Regional Vice President (RVP) and works closely with the Regional Finance Manager (RFM) and Regional Project Administrator (RPA).


Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, define, communicate, and execute the district installation and operations business plan in conjunction with the RVP and leadership team.
  • Develop and lead district teams while ensuring strong connectivity between sales, installation, and service functions.
  • Provide coordination and support between sales, district field operations, and national account central operations teams to ensure consistent project scoping and execution.
  • Drive, institutionalize, and sustain profitable business practices within branches while ensuring operational and sales alignment with company objectives.
  • Manage overall branch and city market P&L performance, metrics, and budgets, taking corrective action as needed to achieve goals.
  • Ensure branch leadership has access to the tools, metrics, and resources necessary to achieve workforce effectiveness, inventory accuracy, productivity goals, customer service objectives, and WCT targets.
  • Provide leadership and direction regarding cost controls, particularly related to technician labor, subcontractor labor, overhead expenses, overtime, and project scoping compliance.
  • Drive DSO performance metrics and manage district Accounts Receivable activities.
  • Ensure local management teams understand, communicate, enforce, and remain accountable for all safety programs and initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain standardized technician labor planning and staffing process to meet productivity, revenue, and project deadlines.
  • Develop high-performing leadership teams, talent pipelines, and succession planning strategies.
  • Drive training initiatives, performance metrics, development plans, and accountability measures while addressing performance issues when necessary.
  • Continuously improve department processes to enhance customer satisfaction and branch efficiency.
  • Maintain company property and documentation in accordance with established policies; safeguard proprietary information; and comply with all company, regional, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote employee engagement and recognition through meetings, communications, and other initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to direct reports and subcontractors, ensuring documented performance evaluations are completed annually.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continued education, industry publications, networking, benchmarking, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements (Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five or more years of management experience in operations and sales within the electronic security industry or a related field.
  • Experience managing district or regional operations with multiple locations.
  • District-level P&L management experience.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical planning capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing labor expenses as a percentage of revenue.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement effective customer solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and business systems such as ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting and alternate between standing and sitting for extended periods.
